What is the Cub Scouts program?
Cub Scouts is for girls and boys, K-5, to develop the foundations for leadership, citizenship, and personal fitness through fun activities and team-building projects.
What will my child do in Cub Scouts?
Activities include exploring the outdoors, camping, building projects, making friends, and developing a lifelong love of learning.
How often do Cub Scouts meet?
Cub Scouts meet twice a month or once a week as a “Den” which is a group of 8-10 - typically from the same neighborhood. A “Pack” is comprised of several Dens and usually meet once a month. Meetings depend on what times are convenient for families involved in the program.
Who runs Cub Scouts?
Parents and legal guardians of Cub Scouts work together to run the Cub Scout program and serve as positive role models. Cub Scouting offers excellent support and resources to help leaders deliver the program as intended. All registered leaders involved in Scouting are required to complete an online Youth Protection Program.

What measures will be taken to keep my child safe?
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout program.
